Justice Team

Mosaic Justice Team

The Mosaic Justice Team helps our community turn its values into action. The team receives requests for support, community concerns, and calls to action; considers whether they align with Mosaic’s mission; and determines how our community can make a meaningful impact.

Our work is guided by the principle “Nothing about us without us.” We listen to the people most affected by an issue and follow their leadership when deciding how Mosaic should respond.

At local protests and public actions, the Justice Team may create care stations offering food, water, places to sit, basic first-aid supplies, and a drum circle. We also work alongside trained Peace Monitors to help support safer, more peaceful gatherings.

The Justice Team organizes educational and community-action events, including:

  • Get Out the Vote campaigns

  • Postcard-writing gatherings

  • Stop the Bleed training

  • Advocacy and justice workshops

  • Responses to urgent community needs

  • Support for local protests and public actions

Team members also represent Mosaic at City Council, School Board, and other public meetings where decisions affecting our neighbors are made. We listen, speak when needed, report back to the community, and help people understand how they can become involved.

You do not need to be an experienced organizer or know everything about local government to participate. If you care about justice and want to help Mosaic show up for our community, please complete the interest form below.
