Butterfly Families

Butterfly Families is a welcoming and affirming community for parents, caregivers, family members, and loved ones of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people.

Led by a transgender therapist and her wife, the group offers a compassionate space to connect, learn, ask questions, and meet other families who understand the journey. Although one of our leaders is a therapist, Butterfly Families is a peer-support and community group—not therapy.

Maybe your family is just beginning this journey. Maybe you have been walking alongside your loved one for years. Maybe you simply want to understand how to better support someone you love. Wherever you are, you are welcome here.

There is no expectation that you will have all the right words or all the answers. Come as you are, participate as much or as little as feels comfortable, and know that you are among people who believe every person deserves to be loved, affirmed, and supported.

Butterfly Families meets on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30–7:00 PM at Mosaic Faith Community.

Come find community. Come find support. Come be reminded that no family has to navigate this journey alone.
