Mosaic Band
The Mosaic Band
The Mosaic Band is led by Peter Rawstitch and provides music for both of our Sunday services. Band members may participate in one service or stay and play at both. The band is open to musicians and singers ages 15 and older.
Our band includes guitarists, ukulele players, singers, and percussionists playing instruments such as djembes, congas, and more. We welcome musicians with different backgrounds, abilities, and levels of experience.
If you are new to playing an instrument, you are welcome too. The band is happy to help you learn, practice with you, and find ways for you to participate as your confidence and skills grow. You do not need to be an experienced musician to belong.
Our music ranges from secular songs of the 1960s through today to carefully selected hymns and spirituals. We choose music that reflects Mosaic’s values of love, justice, hope, healing, and community.
The band practices on Wednesday evenings, which also includes a relaxed request time when people can suggest and play favorite songs together.
If you are at least 15 and interested in singing, playing an instrument, learning something new, or discovering more about the Mosaic Band, please complete the form below. There is a place for your sound here.
