LGBTQ+ Mission

For LGBTQ+ People, Families, and Allies

Mosaic was not created by simply adding the word “inclusive” to a church sign. Before becoming the community we are today, we spent nine months deconstructing church alongside LGBTQ+ people, their families, and their allies. Together, we examined the beliefs, language, traditions, and systems that have caused harm—and imagined what a healthier faith community could become.

Our pastor is queer, and the majority of our board and staff are either LGBTQ+ themselves or have close LGBTQ+ family members. This means LGBTQ+ experiences are not treated as a special topic or discussed only from the outside. They are part of who we are, how we lead, and how we make decisions.

At Mosaic, we do more than include LGBTQ+ people—we celebrate them. You may worship, serve, lead, ask questions, build relationships, and participate fully without hiding or changing who you are. Your identity, relationships, family, pronouns, gifts, and story are welcome here.

This is a safe and affirming space where you are invited to be fully yourself. You do not have to earn your belonging. You already belong.
